Carlo Hauner (1927-1996)

Carlo Hauner was a key figure in postwar European modernism, active in Italy and Brazil. Born in Italy to an Austrian family, he brought with him a cosmopolitan vision that soon led him to Brazil, then the beating heart of modernism. There, he met Martin Eisler, and together they founded "Forma," a creative workshop that would become the most important designer furniture company in Brazil and later open an office in Italy. Today, his works are considered among the finest expressions of international modernism, sought after by collectors and galleries for their timeless elegance.
